More than any day I'm really interested in what you think about this picture.
This is a picture that grew on me and the more I watch it the more I love it...
It was taken during our last trip with Celine to Colombus, Ohio at the botanical garden

A beautiful DOF and color!!

@Mascha: Thanks Mascha

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

My eye is skipping straight past the leaf, and is attracted by the conflict going on in the background between the strong mid blue and the neutral dark green. Interesting how this should happen, I'm sure it's unintended.

9 Apr 2010 7:50pm

@Curly: Curly I have to admit that most of the result here is unintended ;) Thanks for the comment

Self-Indulgence from Chicagoland, United States

Beautiful dof! I love the purplish bg behind this!

@Self-Indulgence: Thank you very much SI

Martin from North Platte, United States

awsome use of DoF, very creative, thing I like the best is the solors,, not usually found together.. what a great eye you have to even notice this :) Bravo!

10 Apr 2010 1:57am

@Martin: Many thanks Martin. I'm blushing ;)

Dulcie from Danville, CA, United States

I like it, too. The foreground focus on the right, front of the frame is sharp,
and from there we can look back under and over and through the leaves. It WORKS !!

@Dulcie: Thanks for your support Dulcie.

GJC from Kyoto (京都), Japan

I think it's usually a good idea to just like a photo I like, rather than ask for opinions about it. It's doing what I want it to do; that's good enough. For my part, I like the contrast between the bottom right and the upper left. Nicely balanced.

11 Apr 2010 12:57pm

@GJC: Thanks GJC and welcome. I do agree with you for most of the picture....but this picture was special in my opinion as it contained what some might consider big no-no like the surex and the very shallow dof...but I still liked it a lot ;)
